Preston had no choice in his real estate background because he comes from a real estate family.

His mother owns rental properties and has been in residential for almost as long as Preston has been alive and Preston’s father has been in commercial development for almost forty years. His father has developed everything from shopping centers, hotels, and high-rise office buildings to hospitals, animal habitats, and water treatment facilities. The diversity of projects was as diverse as the locations. Preston was born outside Washington DC, and grew up in Puerto Rico and the Midwest until arriving in Las Vegas in 1997. Preston considers Las Vegas to be his home, but decided to flee the nest to attend the University of Nevada, Reno for Undergrad in 2005.

While putting himself through college in Reno, Preston gained his experience in the food and beverage industry that would later help him in retail commercial real estate. Post College, Preston took an opportunity as a business developer for a top ten landscaping company, where he became knowledgeable and passionate about various aspects of commercial projects. It was in that capacity that he realized the potential of commercial real estate.

Preston’s retail focus encompasses both operational understanding and conceptual insight where most agents are just showing space. He enjoys seeking out and securing well-qualified tenants for his landlords, and profitable locations for his tenants using market understanding and integrity to separate himself from other agents who believe “any deal is a good deal.” He has had the pleasure to represent such clients as: Tropical Smoothie, Zabas, Paul Mitchell School, and Medspring Urgent Care as well as numerous landlords including several REIT’s and local owners.

If Preston had a crystal ball and could see into his future, he anticipates working with clients on a more regional level and investing with them whether that means as a landlord or a franchise investor, ideally both.

Preston has been a member of ICSC since 2013, and in 2014 he became a “Next Generation” committee member. In early 2016, Preston became a licensed insurance agent to better assist his clients in a more convenient and valuable way.

Outside of work, Preston loves being involved in anything automotive related, whether it be enjoying a car show or testing limits with his own car on a racetrack. When not thinking about cars, you’ll find Preston at the newest concept spending time with friends.
